Jessica Betts

Originally from Chicago, Singer/Songwriter Jessica Betts is a thrilling electric/acoustic Rock&Soul Artist who loves to write her own original music as well as soulful renditions of past and contemporary hits spanning multiple musical genres and artists from gospel, reggae, rock, pop and r&B. Betts' incredibly soulful voice will take the audience on an amazing journey blending genres and generations organically.

Jessica started singing early and at 16 years old got signed to Stone Creek Records, "BOYZ 2 MEN's" label in 1998.

In 2000, Her single"Get Up" released from Big Mommas House Soundtrack starring Martin Lawrence.

In 2005, Jessica Betts is perhaps best known as the winner of the “Road to Stardom” reality television show where she beat out thousands of contestants and captured the hearts and admiration of judges such as Teena Marie, Dallas Austin, Madonna, Mona Scott-Young and Missy Elliot with her amazing voice.

In 2011, inducted as a BET Music Matters artists. She closed the BET Honors pre- show in February of 2014. 

Betts recorded a fan appreciation  Full mix EP titled "LLCoolJess" released in June 2015. 

“Earthquake” mix Ep released in May 2016.

“So Hot” featuring LBX released in 2017.

“Catch Me” released in August of 2018.

2020, Jessica married actress Niecy Nash and released a stunning visual to Catch Me, which was the song that ultimately brought these 2 hearts together. 

2021 "Catch Me" has since made its way to Premiering on Good Morning America, Claws on TNT and hit show Queen Sugar!

The buzz around her music has grown as insiders are experiencing her new and innovative direction bringing back true soul with a contemporary and edgy twist.
